I'm fundraising for...
I am planning to run 1000km along the Bibbulmun track, starting in Albany on Wednesday September 24th and am aiming to claim the Fastest Known Time (FKT) for the trail. I am a third year Carpentry Apprentice who has had my own mental health problems in the past. Endurance sports, in particular running, has been a key pillar in my journey to good mental health and I am looking for a way that I might be able to help others.
During the run I am raising funds for TIACS and my goal is to raise the funds to support 100 of the free counselling sessions that TIACS provides for the blue collar workers of Australia. A big reason for this is that when I was at a low point with my mental health it was reaching out for support that helped things to start improving. That help started a process of taking positive steps with my physical health and to improve the areas of my life that were causing the problems. If I can turn things around, I think anyone can, but it is important that we support organisations like this that are doing great work in this space. This is a massive problem that we can tackle together. Jump on board and follow my journey along the Bibbulmun Track and thanks for supporting such a great cause. You’re a legend!
