After setting a new school record & raising over $20k for Aussie Farmers 8 years ago, we (10x 2017 Nudgee College Seniors) are winding back the clock and revisiting the Great Wheelbarrow Race in 2025!!
Our team consists of like-minded blokes from all across Queensland, who share a common goal: raise a shit-load of coin & awareness for mental health (through TIACS) as humanly possible!! 3 days of blood, sweat & tears all in the name of charity - and we can't bloody wait!
From The Great Wheelbarrow Race Website:
"The Great Wheelbarrow Race (the ‘event’ or ‘race’) is run in a relay format over three days held annually in May. The race stages are Mareeba – Dimbulah (42km), Dimbulah – Almaden (65km) and Almaden – Chillagoe (33km), or in reverse both being a total distance of 140km."
Race dates – Friday 9th – Sunday 11th May 2025!
Friday 9th May 2025 – Mareeba to Dimbulah, with an overnight stay and celebrations in Dimbulah
Saturday 10th May 2025 – Dimbulah to Almaden with a lunch stop in Petford and overnight stay and celebrations in Almaden
Sunday 11th May 2025– Almaden to Chillagoe with race presentations once the final competitor crosses the finish line.
