Why We’re Fundraising

Every year in Australia, over 3,000 people take their own lives — and a heartbreaking number of them are blue-collar workers.
That’s more than 8 lives lost every single day — often people who never said a word, never put up their hand, and never showed how much pain they were in.

Recently, my brother-in-law, tragically lost his life in a quad bike accident on the farm back home in Mudgee.
He left behind my sister and two young kids, and while it wasn’t by suicide, it was another life taken too soon — another family navigating deep grief and trying to move forward with one of their pillars suddenly gone.
It shook all of us. And it reminded me how much weight so many people carry behind closed doors.

At Multiply ME, we’ve built a platform that’s already in the hands of 1,000s of frontline workers — and we’ve embedded a quiet, stigma-free way to access mental health support right inside the videos they already watch for training.
There’s no sign-up, no tracking, no judgement — just a button that connects them to a real person when they need it most.
I believe it’s my duty to make sure more people have access to that kind of support — before things spiral.

Because I’ve been in that tunnel too.

There was a time in my life when I came home from work every day and cried.
I could hold it together during the day, keep up the façade, crack the jokes — but the moment I got to my safe place, it all fell apart.

It’s hard to ask for help when you don’t even know what to say. That’s why this matters. We need to meet people where they are — quietly, gently, and early.
